This article summarises the latest improvements released to the Authenticate platform, including major updates to the supply chain map, hierarchy, logistics, and approval workflows.
1. Supply chain map
- The supply chain map has been moved to its own dedicated tab to support future expansion of hierarchy functionality.
- Clicking a site pin now opens an overview showing:
- Location
- Status
- Function
- Tier
- Any associated risk information
2. Supply chain hierarchy
- The hierarchy view now includes an overview panel for each linked supplier product.
- Clicking any supplier in the chain opens an overview showing:
- Supplier and product details
- Associated sites
- Status and risk information
- A new chain of custody view
- The chain of custody provides a clear path showing how an item moves through the supply chain, including any risks or unapproved suppliers.
- Indirect suppliers are collapsed by default, showing only direct suppliers for a simplified starting view.
- Clicking the pink arrow expands the hierarchy to reveal additional suppliers.
3. Updating the supply chain hierarchy
- A single Add a new supplier button is now available on the overview panel.
- Clicking this opens a pop‑up to add a supplier beneath the selected item.
- Users with self‑declaration permissions can choose whether to request the supplier to map their supply chain.
- New suppliers can be self‑declared at any level of the chain, but only direct suppliers can be asked to map their chain.
4. Supplier type
- A new Supplier Type field is available when adding suppliers (e.g., Grower, Manufacturer, Processor).
- All existing links default to the type Supplier.
- Types can be edited via the supplier overview using the ellipsis menu.
5. Supply chain approval
- Supply chain approval is now visible directly within the supplier overview panel (feature‑dependent).
- This removes the need to navigate away to manage approvals and allows users to review all relevant information—including chain of custody—before approving.
- An approval percentage for the product is shown at the top of the page.
- Approved direct suppliers are marked with a tick icon.
- A new role, Qualified Person, has been added to manage supply chain approval.
6. Supply chain logistics
- Logistics details can now be stored against supplier products to support risk management.
- Logistics are managed under a new Logistics tab within the supplier overview.
- Users can add logistics for individual companies or sites, or record a logistics process type (e.g., Air Freight).
- Logistics information is visible on the hierarchy and to customers at the top of the chain.
7. Assessment score display
- The actual score is now shown when reviewing an assessment, alongside risk, compliance, and audit scores.
8. Sign‑up / login styling
- The Authenticate login and sign‑up pages have been refreshed to align with updated branding.
9. Product variants
- Users with the specifications feature can now store product variants, including language and pack size variations.
- Variants are visible on the product overview page and on the Product Variants tab.
- When sending specification requests, users can request variant details, pre‑populating the specification and requiring suppliers to complete variant‑specific information.
10. Transfer non‑conformances for completion
- Users can now transfer ownership of a non‑conformance to another company for review and completion.
- Transfers can occur multiple times, with optional comments to provide context.
11. Fixes and improvements
11.1. Assessments
- Renewed assessments now create one task per assignee.
- Assessors can now complete external supplier self‑assessments they answered on behalf of suppliers (internal assessments still require a different user).
- ‘Sent assessments’ list updated to remove the reason column and show full reference details, with reasons available via tooltip.
- Added the name of the assigned user when viewing assessments awaiting supplier response.
