Copying data from an existing specification to a new request

This article guides you through copying existing data from a previously completed specification to a new request in Ideagen Supply Chain.
1. Understanding the process
You can reuse data from existing specifications when creating new requests, saving time and ensuring consistency across similar products. This process involves viewing available specification requests, accepting the task, and copying the relevant information.
2. Viewing all specification requests
To access your specification requests:
- Click View All to display all specification requests available in Ideagen Supply Chain.
3. Opening a specific food group request
To open the detailed specification:
- Click the specification request you want to copy (for example, Authentic Food Group Specification Request Chicken Fillet MPCH01).
This opens the detailed specification request for the selected product.
4. Viewing request details
To examine the full details:
- Click View to see the complete specification request details.
5. Accepting the specification request
To approve the specification request:
- Click Accept to proceed with the necessary actions in the system.
6. Copying request information
To duplicate the specification data:
- Click Copy to duplicate the specification request information for use in your new request.
The system copies the existing specification data, which you can now use in your new request.
