Responding to product link requests and mapping

Users who need to respond to a product link request and map their supply chain.
Supply chain admin permissions are required.

This tutorial guides you through accepting, rejecting and mapping product link requests.

You will learn how to view outstanding requests, create new products, map suppliers, and manage product link requests in Ideagen Supply Chain.

Managing product link requests and supply chain mapping

Click View All under the Supply Chain tile to see all outstanding mapping and product requests.
Click Respond next to the task.
If the product isn't in your Ideagen Supply Chain catalogue, select Create New Product.
Input product details. Name and reference auto populate but can be changed. Select the category from your product catalogue. Finally, choose the internal site where this product is created or processed.
Click Create & Link Product to add and associate a new product.
Map your product by clicking Respond.
Click Respond Later to map your product at a later time.
Click Supplier to input supplier details.
Choose supplier type from the drop down options.
Input the product name and reference for your supplier request.
Click Add another Supplier/Component to include more suppliers or components. This allows inputting additional suppliers/components in one request. Repeat for more.
Click the bin icon next to the supplier to remove them from the mapping request.
If you can't find your supplier, create a profile. Click Create New Company to add a new company.
Input company details: address and contact info, including email.
Click Save to store company information and complete creation. You will return to the mapping screen to input product details for the new supplier.
Click Send Requests to submit product and supplier requests. Suppliers see only the one above and below them. The supplier above is your company, and the one below is their listed suppliers.
To skip mapping suppliers, click I don't want to map. Use this to mark the product as end of chain.
Select a reason from the drop down options.
Click Submit Response to finalise and send your response.
If the product exists in your catalogue, click Select from existing Ideagen Supply Chain Products.
Check the product catalogue by clicking View Product Catalogue.
Click the search bar and type in the product name.
Select relevant product from the drop down.
Click Confirm selected product to finalise your choice and map the product.
To deny a product link request, click Deny Request.
Click Select reason and choose from the drop down options.
Click Confirm to deny the product request and return to the homepage.
